Where: Castenaso
When: September 12-14 and 19-21
The third Sunday in September traditionally marks Castenaso's most important festival: the Grape Festival, now in its 70th year.
Since the first ‘Grape Day’ in 1954, this event has become a fixture in the calendar, changing over time while remaining unmistakably unique. The festival, dedicated to the fruit that symbolizes autumn, offers grapes for sale and tasting at the stands.
Two consecutive weekends—from September 12 to 14 and September 19 to 21—and a number of midweek events will enliven the streets, squares, and parks with a rich and varied program designed for all ages.
The 2025 edition is characterized by its ability to combine memory and innovation: live music, shows, exhibitions, and markets will alternate with historical and cultural tours on foot and by bicycle, sports activities, and solidarity initiatives in support of research and the fight against disease. There will also be historical reenactments with Roman and Celtic camps, workshops for children, and entertainment for all, from street parties to events in the squares.
Shop windows, which have been a feature since the event's inception, will once again be decked out in festive decorations, and from September 10, visitors will be able to vote for their favorite displays via QR code. The squares of Castenaso will host concerts, DJ sets, family shows, and activities for children, including the Castenopoli 2.0 treasure hunt, the children's market, and the traveling readings “Pace libera tutti” (Peace frees everyone).
