On the road to Budrio, there is a particularly interesting parish church, the Pieve di San Giovanni in Triario, probably from the 11th century, still containing an ancient baptismal font, as well as paintings attributed to Daniele da Volterra.
It houses the Museum of Popular Religion.
The parish church is also the setting for a novel by the Bolognese thriller-writer Danila Comastri Montanari, La Campana dell’Arciprete (The Archpriest’s Bell), a country saga with a murder, set in 1824 at the time of the Pontifical Restoration after the defeat of the Napoleonic dream.
On Easter Monday, there is the Country Fair of San Giovanni in Triario.
