The 16-17th century church, with its annexed oratory, is considered one of the artistic masterpieces of the Pianura Bolognese.
Restored at the beginning of 20th century, the building was built between the16th and 17th centuries by a lay confraternity, here assisting the pilgrims from the half of the 16th century.
The church contains an altarpiece by Lucio Massari, a painter who formed himself to the Carracci's school.
