Ferruccio Lamborghini Museo

In 2013 the Lamborghini Museum has been moved from its previous location in Dosso, in the Ferrara province, to a new exhibition center, set inside a former plant situated just a few kilometers from Bologna city center, in the heart of the so-called Motor Valley.

Established by Tonino Lamborghini in honour of his father Ferruccio, founder of Lamborghini motors, the Museum is currently run by Fabio Lamborghini, Tonino's son. It retraces the whole industrial history of the Lamborghini company, following the creations of the mechanical genius of Ferruccio Lamborghini: from the first "Carioca" tractor (1947) and the earliest caterpillar tractors to the 70s models; from the legendary Miura SV car - owned by Ferruccio himself - to the futuristic Countach; from the Urraco models to Lamborghini Espada, the car that inspired the time machine of the movie "Back to the future" with its gull-wing doors.

Furthermore the visit includes the offshore Fast 45 Diablo Classe 1 motorboat, a 13,50 mt long powerboat equipped with Lamborghini engines, 11 times world champion; a magnificent, homologated, helicopter; the famous "Barchetta" car, built by Ferruccio to participate in 1948's Mille Miglia, an open-road endurance race.

The new and versatile museum contains also the accurate copy of the first office of Ferruccio, an exhibition of industrial design objects dating back to 50s and 70s, car and bikes from other historic brands, in order to make comparisons.

The museum provides a thrilling journey through the history of the "raging bull" myth, a Made in Italy excellence esteemed all over the world. The location is expressly conceived to house a large number of visitors, tourists and motors passionates.
