The Pieve Civic Art Gallery houses paintings by artists in particular from the School of Bologna, Ferrara and Veneto, from the XIV to the XVIII century, including Scarsellino and disciples of the Guercino studio such as Matteo Loves and Benedetto Zallone. The exhibition is enriched by various loans of Guercino’s works. The masterpiece of the museum is a 14th century wooden polychromatic Madonna.
Also noteworthy is the collection of contemporary art formed over time thanks to various donations. Among these: graphic works from the Efrem Tavoni collection and from the famous Morgan's Paint; the works of Severo Pozzati (a.k.a. "SePo") and House of Music, the Museum of the Stories of Pieve (Porta Bologna and Rocca) and the private museum of contemporary art MAGI '900. The entire building is divided into four floors: ground floor and basement dedicated to the library; first and second floor with the rooms of the picture gallery.
