A blend of brandies of the same year integrated, by means of brewing, with selected tobacco leaves. It is the production of excellence by Villa Zarri. The production is limited and combines brandy with the leaves of Kentucky tobacco, that is the essence of the world's most celebrated sigar: the Tuscan sigar.
The passion for brandy comes from a distance. Guido Fini Zarri explains: "My grandfather (Leonida Zarri) began working in the field of brandy and liquor in the 30s to Buton (that of Vecchia Romagna). In the 50s, left the Buton, he bought the Pilla, a small business liquor based in Murano (Venezia). The company was later transferred to Castel Maggiore (Bo) and under the guidance of my father met a very important development especially with brandy Oro Pilla".
Guido Fini Zarri joined the company at the end of the 70s and gives the brand Oro Pilla to Montenegro in 1988. In 1986, however, he started a small production of Brandy inspired by the highest level with the aim to make a brandy Doc in Italy.
The Charentais alembic is used to distill: it is an tool entirely in copper originating in Charente, the region where cognac is produced. This alembic is used to distill wine (Villa Zarri uses only the Trebbiano Toscano and Trebbiano Romagnolo). You get a blank that is distilled a second time, thus obtaining the final distillate that is put into barrels to age.
It takes many years to evolve and get a great Brandy distillates. Aged in 350 liter barrels of French oak from the forests of Limousine and from Allier.
The Villa Zarri brandies are totally natural, without added coloring nor flavouring nor sweeteners.
