The "raviola" is a sweet pastry filled with jam "mostarda di Bologna". Once the biscuit was prepared in the Bolognese countryside to celebrate the feast of Saint Joseph (March 19th).
From over two hundreds years Trebbo di Reno (6 km from castel Maggiore) is hosting the festival dedicated to the Raviola. The event is held in March, around the time of the feast of Saint Joseph.
