At Villa Smeraldi - Museo della Civiltà Contadina, Christmas will be celebrated with an event dedicated to local products and a look at the world of handicrafts.
From 10 a.m. until sunset, the Museum pavilions will host the traditional farmers' market of local producers with the sale and tasting of local food and wine products, typical of the Christmas period. The Villa and the pavilions will also host the artisan market, where the public will be able to observe and purchase peasant and Christmas handicrafts.
There will also be a food stand with traditional dishes, organised by the Locanda Smeraldi restaurant run by the Cooperativa Sociale Anima.
The rich programme of guided tours, workshops, exhibitions, historical re-enactments and tastings, scheduled throughout the day, will be an opportunity to bring together culture, farming traditions, gastronomy and the products of the land, with the aim of highlighting the peculiarities of local food and wine and handicrafts, with a special focus on the traditions of the 'peasant Christmas'.
