Where: Old town - 40066 Pieve di Cento (BO)
When: August 30-September 1, 2019
Fair of Industry, Crafts, Agricultural Products and Trade of the centopievese area, with the opportunity of open air entertainment including art, music, food and culture.
The fair was originally held in July to coincide with the Feast of Madonna del Carmine. In 1805, as Napoleon's orders to ban the public demonstrations were revoked, the fair was revived on the 3rd Sunday of September along with the Festa dei Giovani (Youth Festival) and then fixed on the 1st Sunday of September through a series of papal acts.
After the requalification of two important buildings of the Pieve's historical center, the Rocca (stronghold) and the Bologna's Gate, the area surrounding these monuments has become a focal point for the Pievese cultural life. During the fair the Rocca square will be the headquarter of the food exhibition, including producers, tastings and conferences about food and culture.
The trade fair is also a good chance to visit Pieve di Cento, also known as “little Bologna” because of its arcades.
Many Pieve's museums will be open during the event.
Programme is to be defined.
