Over eighty herbs typical of the Mediterranean in Cadriano (6 km. far from Granarolo): a path that leads to know plants which are not only beautiful and fragrant, but also valuable to our health. The garden is designed by
Caber, historical Bologna-based company established in 1968 by Franco Berti and his wife Franca Caravelli.
Since the origin the company developed the vocation to produce high quality foodstuff. Caber launched itself with the product Salamoia Bolognese, a seasoning (ideal substitute of salt) typical of the ancient italian gourmet tradition, made up of aromatic herbs freshly harvested and sea salt.
Caber accompanies the Salamoia Bolognese with a series of spices and aromatic herb products, like the ready mixed powder for "Spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino" (pasta with garlic, oil and chilli). It is appreciated both in the home market and abroad for its original taste.
In 1990, encouraged by popular demand, Caber launches its new line of "Special Products": a selection of traditional italian foodstuff that completes the range of Caber's products.
School visits to the Caber's herb garden are possible by appointment from March to June (on Tuesday and Thursday morning). At the end you can participate to a workshop to prepare the seasoning "Salamoia Bolognese" by using traditional tools.
