"The first museum in the world dedicated to the history, culture and technology of artisan gelato". It is so that the Carpigiani company announces the opening of the museum dedicated to the history of the ice cream artisanal production.
From Saturday July 14th you can book a visit in the spaces next to the Emilian factory, in Anzola, opened from September 27th 2012.
Here you can undertake a journey from the origins to today through three sections: evolution of ice cream over time, the history of its productive technology, places and ways of ice cream tasting.
Original equipment on display with 20 original machines, 24 multimedia workstations, 10,000 historical images and educational laboratories.
The Gelato Museum Carpigiani wishes to spread throughout the five continents the artisanal gelato culture. A fresh high quality food which represents Italy's excellence and creativity in the world.
The museum is made by the Fondazione Bruto and Poerio Carpigiani. The Carpigiani Foundation was established in April 2012 with the aim of promoting this food in the world.
A laboratory produces some historical recipes that can be tasted and compared with the nowadays gelato.
