An old farm restored in the countryside of Sacerno, a historical village 5 kilometres far from Calderara di Reno and fifteen minutes away from Bologna. Since 2010 the restaurant is managed by the sommelier Giada Berri and the chef Dario Picchiotti.
The ambience is elegant but also casual on a pair of levels. Art and photography exhibitions are organized in the large room on the ground floor. At the first floor the space is more intimate and cozy and can be entirely reserved for lunches, dinners or private events. In summer time the heart of the restaurant becomes the elegant dehor.
Member of the Krug Ambassade in Bologna, the Antica Trattoria di Sacerno offers over 400 labels of wines with a special fondness for Italian and foreigner bubbles.
The dishes prepared by chef Dario Picchiotti are characterized by traditional taste, innovation and quality of the ingredients. The fish is the pride of gastronomical proposals and, particularly, raw fish. It is an ingredients strictly catched and never of breeding, coming from the best fish market of Chioggia, Cesenatico, Sardegna, Sicilia e Puglia. There is no lack also for lovers of meat.
The restaurant is reported on the Touring club guide and in the Slow food, thanks to its "interesting cuisine" with a particular mention for the service of wines and for fish dishes.
