Bronze sculpture (3 metres x 3 x 0,80) realized by Franco Scepi. It represents the head of a man closed in the wall of political and religious intolerance, swept away by the dove of the peace placed at the top.

The work was created in 1977 for the poster of Andrzej Wajda's film "Man of Marble". Ideological symbol and monumental sculpture, the "Man for peace" is now on display in the garden of the museum MAGI‘900. For the movie director Wajda, the man of marble is a work's hero; for Scepi this man is a symbol of peace and brotherhood, forerunner of the social and political transformations that take place after the fall of the Berlin's wall.

In 1999 the ex president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev, and seventeen Nobel Peace laureates added their signature to the Scepi's image of "Man for peace". The realization of the work has been possible also thanks to the support of Giulio Bargellini, founder of the  Magi'900 museum of Pieve di Cento, in the province of Bologna.

The work of Franco Scepi is characterized since the beginning by its versatility. He realizes short film, video, performances, music videos and advertising campaigns for many major companies, including Campari, with which the partnership lasts more than ten years.
