Discover the taste of the Green asparagus from Altedo in this food festival, where visitors can taste delicious asparagus-based dishes, watch the chefs working on new recipes and buy fresh local vegetables.
The Green Asparagus from Altedo, which earned the PGI label, is a spring vegetable with a delicate, exquisite taste that became a symbol of the agricultural produce of Bolognese plain.
A special asparagus-based menu is served every night (and also for lunch on Sundays) in the "Ristorante Tuttoasparago", located in the area of Coop Apofruit, along the main street of the village. Plus, original, savoury asparagus-based recipes, prepared by many chefs, will delight people's palates on the special occasions of the "Serate d'autore" (Dinners by chef).
It will be also possible to buy the "green prince" of Altedo, as well as other agricultural products, on the stalls of the local farmers. On the night of Saturday May 25, the event is open till late with the "Asparagus Night".
