The Palazzo Comunale (City Hall) of Pieve di Cento, built in the 16-17th century, houses the ancient Legal Archive and the Teatro Zeppilli, modified in 1856 and recently restored. The most recent work has restored the stalls and foyer to their original functions.
The original furnishing has also been restored, as well as the painted sections and the stuccoes.
The theatre, with 149 seats, hosts theatrical and musical activities, conventions, conferences and shows.
The remaining area houses a small Music museum, with articles from the life of Alice Zeppilli, as well as documents and musical instruments from the lute-makers’ workshop.
Timetable: Sunday and holidays: 10,00am-1pm and 3,30pm-6,30pm or by appointment
Entrance: 5€, including the entrance to the Pieve di Cento Museums network (Museo delle Storie di Pieve, Archivio fotografico digitale G. Melloni, Pinacoteca Civica, Teatro e Museo della Musica, Museo della Canapa). The ticket can be purchased at the Museo delle Storie di Pieve (Piazza della Rocca 1) where a ticket vending machine is available.
The entrance is free for: residents, under 18, university students, Bologna Museums Card, people with disabilities and support person, teachers accompanying schoolchildren, tourist guides with licence, servicepersons.
Reduced ticket (3€): groups of 8 paying customers or more, over 70, FAI members, "Libera Università" members
